These shingles are industry leading with their WeatherGuard and SureNail Technology. This complete roofing system that we install has high performance durability and amazing gripping power. It also meets one of the industry’s highest ratings for impact resistance, UL 2218, Class 4. Meaning that these shingles are designed to withstand strong wind and hail, protecting your family and home from the elements.

WeatherGuard® Technology

In Missouri, severe weather is not only common, but guaranteed. With hail being a major cause in roofing damage, it is important to have the strongest system in the industry. That is why most homeowners are making the switch to impact resistant roofing systems. The UL 2218 Test Standard is a classification system that rates the impact resistance for asphalt shingles. There are four classifications levels with Class 1 being the lowest and Class 4 being the most impact resistant. With Owens Corning’s patented Weather Guard Technology, we are able to provide you the highest classification due to its integrated polymeric backing material.

SureNail® Technology

Owens Corning innovation also led them to developing an industry leading fabric strip nailing area. This unique shingle design allows for outstanding gripping power. This design is a patented strong fastener zone that is made up of tough-engineered woven-fabric. The unique “triple layer” of reinforcement occurs when the fabric overlays the two shingle layers, called the common bond area.

Wind Resistance

Wind is a major problem when it comes to roofing shingles, and strong enough wind can blow multiple shingles off the roof deck. These missing shingles can lead to bigger problems, such as leaks. That is why it is important to have a shingle that can withstand the storm. The Duration STORM patented technologies and high performance sealant on the shingle allows for great wind resistance. Owens Corning certifies these shingles to be wind resistant at 130 mph; so you can be assured this system is designed to protect you.

TruDefinition Color Platform

Owens Corning understands that one of the most exciting aspects of getting a new roof is the curb appeal. Which is why their TruDefinition design on the shingles is formulated to capture the vibrant hues and shades. These shingles feature multiple-granule colors and shadowing that will enhance the beauty of your home.
