Fortified Roofing & Siding puts every effort into providing a customer-friendly experience during our remodeling projects. We know how stressful property updates can be! With that in mind, our team follows a thorough process that takes you smoothly from that first phone call through to the final Quality Control Inspection, and even beyond that.
Here are a few more details about Fortified’s phased approach to home exterior projects:
Phase 1: Initial Call
When you reach out to Fortified about your remodeling project, our Customer Relations Specialist will be your initial point of contact. This friendly and important member of our administrative staff will assist you with scheduling a free consultation and inspection based on the information you provide. You will be asked about the type of project—whether it's a repair, replacement, or inspection—and we will request your contact information so that you can be included in our customer database.
Phase 2: Home Analysis
We’ll assign a Sales Associate to come out to your property for that all-important inspection and home analysis. Most of the time, homeowners don’t need to be present, unless interior access is needed to check out a potential leak.
As your Sales Associate walks around the property, they will be looking to document and organize the necessary information by:
- Taking Measurements
- Inspecting Various Elements of the Home
- Taking Pictures of Specific Areas of Concern
- Sketching out Existing Ventilation System, Landscaping Features, and More
Based on this detailed information, our Sales Associate will create a home analysis, including all the facts on which your roofing recommendation will be based. Once all the data has been compiled, we'll suggest the most cost-effective and logical course of action, whether that means "no work currently necessary," "repairs are needed," or "full replacement advised".
Phase 3: Consultation, Education, and Recommendations
Within 24 hours of the home analysis, we’ll contact you to schedule a consultation meeting, during which we’ll go over the results of our findings and answer any questions or concerns.
Your Sales Associate will explain the recommendations they've made for your property. If you are ready to proceed, we’ll work with you to create a remodeling plan based on your needs and desired scope of work. Part of the plan will involve selecting a customized selection of products that, in our expert opinion, will work best for your property (such as vinyl versus fiber cement siding). You'll also be presented with custom-designed packages estimates, each with different options and at various price points, so that you can choose the products and components that best suit your needs.
At this point, you’ll sign a contract with Fortified. The contract will outline the following details:
- Chosen Building Materials
- Ventilation to be Used
- Cleanup and Quality Control Policies
- Agreed Upon Price with Taxes Included
We’ll email you a copy of the contract, along with a customer welcome package containing important information like:
- Office Hours
- Contact Information
- Educational Materials
- Explanation of Possible Delays
- Payment Information
- Cancellation Policy
- FAQs
Phase 4: Installation
A Project Verification Manager will be assigned to your project to confirm the Sales Associate's findings and analysis and ensure the proper materials have been ordered.
Our Customer Relations Specialist will also keep in touch with you throughout the process to keep you informed about estimated dates for the delivery of materials and installation. Please know that installation dates can vary depending on:
- Weather
- Prior Project Obligations
- Material Delivery Delays
Homeowners don’t usually need to be present for the delivery of materials. On the date specified, a specially designed vehicle will deliver the materials, leaving them either on your driveway or directly on the roof of your home.
We will make sure to take precautions to protect your home exterior from tear-off debris, materials, and our tools. Our team will use tarps, plywood screening, and other protective gear whenever necessary.
On the installation day, the Sales Associate will arrive with our installation crew to prepare for the work. The Associate will review with the contractors the exact scope of work that needs to be done and will check in regularly to oversee the project.
We’ll also arrive with company trailers to store materials and torn-off debris in at the end of each day. We've found that this is preferable to using heavy dumpsters that could potentially damage your landscaping.
Phase 5: Final Cleanup and Walkthrough
At the end of the project, we’ll clean up all of our equipment, materials, and any trash from the site—right down to the last nail. Our team uses a special magnetic roller to pick up loose metal objects that may have dropped down into the yard or onto the driveway. We’ll also use blowers to completely clean your roof, driveway, and decking of minor debris.
Next, we’ll complete a Quality Control Inspection. We’ll walk around the property one final time to confirm the work has been finished according to our high standards.
Phase 6: Follow-Up
Fortified takes pride in providing a hassle-free experience during your remodeling project. Our Sales Associate will reach out to you to make sure everything is in order and that you are happy with the results of our efforts
You’ll also be contacted by a third-party surveyor who will ask a few quick questions about our company and our process. This survey is your chance to provide feedback that allows us to improve as an exterior remodeling company.
If you're happy with the work, we would greatly appreciate your leaving a review about Fortified for future customers to check out when considering us for their own home remodel.
